I've never been on ADD meds, nor for that matter had trouble putting on weight, but a couple of thoughts all the same:
- Someone else mentioned working out. Recall that muscle will help you look less twiggy, and when you do gain some fat will probably help you look more even in where you have some flesh (smoother curves).
- Think of it as a diet--just a gaining diet, not a reducing diet. So all those things that people talk about for reducing diets, like how it starts when you are shopping for food, plan out your meals and snacks, read nutrition labels, even keep a food diary, can apply just as well to you. Yes, that would turn it into work, which kind of sucks when so many people gain easily, but if you really want it, maybe the effort now for the curves later would be worth it?
- Maybe give yourself some interim incentives, like buy a dress or jeans that you really like that is currently one size big?
- If you are going to keep the weight on, you need long term changes to your lifestyle, most likely, not just short term extra-stuffing. So think about things like can you regularly eat more breakfast or get a muffin on the way to work on top of what you already eat, could you add a bedtime snack to your routine, etc.
Do remember to be healthy about it, and have fun!
